Building Your Millionaire Mindset

Do you wish more wealth and abundance in your life? When you build your millionaire mindset, you open the door to living your ideal life.

Why is the mindset so important?

When you believe that you are worthy and capable of living an abundant lifestyle, the you will. If any part of your mind thinks you can’t, it holds riches at bay.

It can be so frustrating, I know.

You think you’ve done everything you should, but something is holding you back.

Now is when we’re going to remove all of those self-imposed limitations. But first, we need the right road map.

Creating the First Step

To ignite your wealth, you have to know exactly what you want. Saying you want a lot of money is too vague. What’s a lot of money?

And wanting to be free of debt will unfortunately bring more debt.

So work on creating a vision of exactly what you want. But make sure you avoid the “how” as much as possible. Leave that up to the Universe.

You just need to see and believe your ideal life, and then take inspired action as it shows up. It’s amazing when an idea pops into your head that will help you achieve your dreams.

Pull out a piece of paper and your favorite pen. Then write down exactly the financial life you want to have.

  • How much do you have in investments?
  • How much do you have in savings?
  • How much do you donate and to what charities?
  • What experiences has your money bought you? (Holidays, dining out, etc.)
  • What assets do you own? (homes, cars, etc.)
  • Where do you buy your clothes?
  • Are you helping pay someone else’s dreams? (child in University, helping relatives)

Spend some time thinking about what kind of a life you want to live. Then write it down in the present as if it already happened. Try to be as specific as you can.

Releasing What Holds You Back

If your subconscious is holding you back from igniting your life, then it’s time to reprogram it.

Thankfully, it’s not difficult, and you don’t have to learn another language.

Not all of these techniques work for everyone. I recommend you try different things and see what works best for you and your current situation.

Affirmations

Affirmations are short positive sentences that we repeat as though they had already happened.

For example, you could say, “I effortlessly earn $10,000 each month from my consulting business.”

And remember you don’t want to mention debt. Instead you could say “I gladly pay my bills each month with plenty of money leftover.” Or you could say “I always have more than enough money to meet my needs.”

If you feel stuck, you can affirm that you see opportunities everywhere.

If you need to build yourself up, affirm that you are worthy of all wonderful things. And everything you need for success comes to you effortlessly and easily.

Then spend time each day repeating the affirmations with a strong emotional feeling attached to it. And see yourself as being the person in your affirmation.

Meditation and Visualization

Spend some time every day seeing yourself as achieving your ideal wealth state. It’s important to add in feelings such as excitement and gratitude. This helps your body vibrate at a high level which matches your dreams.

Visualizing is one of the best ways to retrain your brain to believe that you not only deserve your dreams, but that you will achieve them.

If you want to be wealthy enough to own a home outright, visualize yourself celebrating in your dream home while holding the deed to the property.

EFT

What is EFT?

It stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. You tap on certain parts of your body while reciting positive statements. It combines the principles of meditation, positive affirmations, and acupressure on meridian points to release energy blockages.

I know it sounds a bit crazy if you’ve never heard of it before, but stick with me. Tapping, as it’s also called, can make your life more positive, more fun, and help you feel better mentally, emotionally, and physically.

It sounds like a lot to promise, I know. But there is something about how you feel after a tapping session that goes beyond description.

EFT can help you release beliefs and reduce anxiety.

If you’re focusing on debt and lack of money, you’re pushing away opportunity. EFT can help you release your fear and anxiety so you can look for a path to where you want to be.

Also, if you find you’re addicted to a negative behavior, like spending too much, or eating the wrong foods, EFT can help you. Often an addiction is caused by anxiety rather than a lack of willpower.

How do I tap?

The first step is preparation where you repeat your affirmation. An EFT affirmation acknowledges your concern, fear, or problem. You repeat it three times while tapping the “karate chop” part of your hand.

A sample one could be, “Even though I have not been very responsible with money and am in debt, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”

You do not have to believe this affirmation right now.

When you continue tapping, you can affirm more things like

  • I have really learned a lot about finances
  • I always think before spending
  • I’m looking for more opportunities to earn money
  • I’m living my life consistent with my values
  • I am managing my money responsibly

When you finish, you should notice your anxiety levels have decreased dramatically. And you’ve started reprogramming your brain for a millionaire mindset!

Vision Boards

People who are visual learners often prefer vision boards. You print out images of your ideal life, and put it on a poster board or a cork board. Then you keep that vision board where you can see it during the day.

Every day, spend some time reflecting on what your life will be like when you have achieved your vision. Try and add feeling and belief that it is currently happening.

Staying In the Moment

When you have your millionaire mindset, you are fully present.

You aren’t agonizing over the mistakes you made years ago. And you’re not worrying about what may happen in the future.

Why is this so important?

Being mindful allows you to see opportunities when they happen so you can take inspired action.

Taking Inspired Action

Most people missed this when they watched the movie The Secret. The Law of Attraction does require you to take the next step when it appears in front of you.

People who are millionaires and billionaires got that way because they knew what action they needed to take next.

Were some of those actions mistakes?

Probably. But the person knew how to learn and grow from them. So it’s important to try something, and learn from it. Then take the next step.

My Final Thoughts

Try to frame things in a positive way. Instead of saying you have to exercise, say you get to exercise. Don’t say you have no money. Say you’re choosing not to spend your money on something.

Look for experiences over retail therapy. How often do you end up with stuff you purchased and wonder why you ever did? Experiences will bring you joy every time to remember them.

View yourself as already being wealthy and full of blessings. When you appreciate what you have, you will receive more. And then you truly have developed a millionaire mindset.
